"A family tree can wither if nobody tends it's roots"

What's New

Welcome to HoosierRoots, a web site devoted primarily to my genealogy research. As you might guess many of my lines have deep roots in my home state of Indiana. I have divided the site into "communities"; each community focuses on a different family line. To view a list of my communities go to the HoosierRoots home page.

This page lists the most recent changes to HoosierRoots. Bookmark this page and come back to visit to see what is happening in my genealogy research.

August 7, 2006 Lowe Community While due to work commitments I have spent very little time on my research, I have started updating the Lowe line based upon the research of James Robling.
Feb 12, 2005   I almost disappeared from life over the fall as I reworked the sites to dynamically build the pages from Genbox, my database. There are now 19 communities up and running on HoosierRoots, although there is a significant amount of "data scrubbing" to be done. There are a few place, such as the Library, where I am still finishing the code, and a host of places where there are "holes" in the pages. But all of the sites have the events for the family members, and many have photos in the gallery as well.
June 20, 2004 McCord Community The initial launch of the McCord Community on HoosierRoots. For the moment only a few pictures are posted. I hope to add the Family Tree soon.
May 31, 2004 Hillman Community The initial launch of the Hillman Community on HoosierRoots. Make sure to check out the Photo Gallery to see if you can put some names with the faces.
